SAMYUKTHA: THE BOND THAT BINDS

Anbu Vanakkam!

Greetings from Samyuktha! Great to meet you all, once again. In the inaugural issue of Samyuktha, I had mentioned the connecting factor of Wanita MIC nationwide is SAMYUKTHA… The Bond that Binds…and that I would like to see more interaction amongst the Women Section members, a platform to share our views and thoughts, to know each other better, to exhibit our talents and skills. So now in this issue of Samyuktha we did exactly that. We started off this year with our International Women’s Day Celebration on 8th March 2020, we gathered women with special talents and knowledge from non-political organisation to share their success and experiences with our members and honoured them for their achievements by bestowing them our very own ‘WOMEN OF THE YEAR AWARD’.
The Covid-19, brought about The Movement Control Order (MCO) which made us think on how we should keep ourselves connected and help the needy. Our Wanita MIC Sisters Outreach Project (WMSOP)and the PENNE UNUKKU NEEYE project has become very significant by doing the MIC Wanita Cares (Wanita MIC Prihatin) programmes . From north to south our Women Section members came together to offer help by providing groceries, sanitary napkins, cooked food to those who needed them. Our members took concern towards the ‘Frontliner’: Doctors, nurses, police forces and the Army. We’re still continuing to aid through Utavi.com.my a noble initiative by our MIC President, YB Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran. Cre@tive Penn came about to bond and to keep our women connected by making them to share and to teach each other on cooking, baking, making crafts, sharing beauty tips, singing, dancing, reading, Yoga breathing technique etc during the MCO….and we still continue to share. Today some of the contributors have become youtubers. I also notice through this programme there are tremendous improvement in communication between the State Women Leaders with Division Women Leaders and Branch Women Leaders. And of course, in this issue we have the regular columns with our Doctors,
Lawyer and The Tendral Editor, Vidyasaagar Sir.

I would like to end by saying… continue bonding, continue to make MIC Women relevant, be responsible leaders and stay beautiful in body, mind and soul. Happy Reading!
