Netizens praise Datuk Seri M. Saravanan over his effort for Nattukottai Chettiar Temple chariot procession in Penang

After an appeal to Penang Hindu Endowment Board was turned down to continue the 150 year old tradition, Nattukottai Chettiar Temple Penang trustees approached Datuk Seri M. Saravanan seeking his assistance to get approval of National Security Council and Senior Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri to allow conditional chariot procession.

Datuk Seri M. Saravanan, Minister of Human Resources and Deputy President of Malaysian Indian Congress who is also a devout Hindu requested NSC to consider approval of the conditional chariot procession, and Senior Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri supported this appeal.

The letter of appeal has since gone viral in social media and many netizens have expressed their gratitude and have been happy over the continuation of the tradition.
