The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention is the flagship event of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India , aimed at deepening engagement with overseas Indians.
It has been a great pleasure to be a part of the Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Conference 2021 ‘Bringing Together Young Achievers from India and Indian Diaspora’ hosted at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Centre, Wisma Sentral Vista, Kuala Lumpur yesterday via the ‘new norm’ Virtual Conference connecting worldwide.
The event was participated by HE Shri Mridul Kumar (High Commissioner of India to Malaysia), Mr. Thinalan T. Rajagopalu (National MIC Youth Leader) – guest speaker of the conference representing Malaysian Indian, Sh. Nishit Kumar Ujjwal (Counsellor-Community Affairs, Labour & Education Gov. of India), Datuk Dr A.T.Kumararajah (Sec.Gen of MAICCI), Mr. Pathima Seelan (Deputy Director of IYC, Minsitry Youth and Sports), Mr. Theeagesh (National MIC Youth Secretary) , Dato Selvam Krishanan (MAICCI Young Entrepreneurs Chairman).
An excellent opening speech by India’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) Youth Affairs & Sports and Minister of State for Minority Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju, followed by our proud Indian icon Minister Priyanca Radhakrishnan, New Zealand’s first Indian-origin Minister, who was the Special Guest at conference, speaking on ‘Bringing Together Young Achievers from India and Indian Diaspora’.
An energetic speech by our Youth Leader home ground keynote speaker Chief Mr. Thinalan T. Rajagopalu (National MIC Youth Leader) which had highlighted initiatives taken by the Malaysian Indian Congress under the vibrant leadership of Y.Bhg Tan Sri Dato’ Sri SA Vigneswaran and his deputy Datuk Seri M.Saravanan (Minister of Human Resources) to the the delegates from almost 20 countries.
