Approximately 2 years ago, when Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran, the MIC President who was then working the ground in #SungaiSiput Parliament constituency, 4 poor families requested help from Tan Sri President to defend their children & husbands from the clutches of #SOSMA.
Today on 6/6/2023, despite not winning the Sg Siput Parliament seat, Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran still kept his promise & provided free legal assistance to the said detainees & their families. Tan Sri President appointed Mr RT Rajasekaran, a lawyer & incidentally the Secretary General of MIC, who appeared for all 4 accused, namely P. Kamal Raj, Gunasegaran, S.Kumaran & G.Prem, before His Lordship, Justice Bhupindar Singh a/l Gurcharan Singh Preet and was able to mitigate before the judge & obtain a 5 year jail term from the date of arrest in 2019, for each of the accused.
This proves that MIC will always assist those who need assistance without fear or favour. Thank you Tan Sri President for always keeping your word.
