An appreciation ceremony was organised by Puan Renu Rayan, Ketua Wanita MIC Kuala Langat for Puan Thulasi, Malaysia’s 1st Female Indian Certified Paragliding Pilot.
A small token of appreciation and plaque was presented by YBhg Puan S. J. Usha Nandhini, Ketua Wanita MIC Kebangsaan and Puan Karampal Kaur Kaur, Ketua Wanita MIC Selangor.
Madam Thulasi is the only Indian lady in Malaysia who has successfully completed her training in Paragliding. She is a certified Pilot for Paragliding in Malaysia. Her life has been full of challenges and yet she managed to swim against the wave to make something of herself. She is a mother of 5 children and a widow who lost her husband 2 years ago. Difficulties never stopped her to pursue her dream. Strong determination and courage has made her become a Paragliding Pilot today. It is indeed a proud moment for all of us. Let us give her the support she deserves.
