A year has passed since the nation lost a great son and the community lost a great father. Tun Samy Vellu was a fatherly figure to us and to many others in this country; he left a legacy which is far too magnanimous. On his death anniversary, we pay tribute to a great statesman and a strong fighter for Malaysians. The services and sacrifices of Tun will always be remembered.
துன் சாமிவேலுவின் துணிச்சல், மக்களுக்கான நேரம் காலம் பார்க்காத அயராத உழைப்பு, எந்த சூழ்நிலையிலும் இந்திய சமுதாயத்தின் நலன்களை விட்டுக் கொடுக்காத தீவிரம், என அவரின் சிறந்த பன்முக குணாதிசயங்களைத் துணையாகக் கொண்டு மஇகாவையும், இந்திய சமுதாயத்தையும் எந்த சூழ்நிலையிலும் கைவிடாமல், சமசரம் செய்து கொள்ளாமல், அவரின் நினைவுகளோடு மஇகாவை சிறப்பாக வழி நடத்துவோம்
