The Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) has stepped forward with RM15,000 in support for photographer Tinesh Sritharan, enabling him to pursue his assignment with the National Geographic Society to document the Great Migration at Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve.
Despite the challenges in preparing for such a significant journey, Tinesh will now fly out this weekend to begin his project, Echoes of the Savannah, with the support of MIC behind him.
An FMT article, cited by YB Senator Dato’ C. Sivaraja who brought it to the attenion off MIC President Tan Sri S.A. Vigneswaran on Tinesh’s situation yesterday afternoon. MIC’s swift response, reaffirming its commitment to uplift and empower Malaysians striving to excel on the world stage. All this was done in less than 3 hours of Tinesh merging with Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran.
“This is a proud moment. Tinesh’s journey reflects the resilience of our youth, and MIC is honoured to help him carry the Malaysian spirit internationally,” – Tan Sri S.A Vigneswaran said when he presented the cheque to this young Malaysian.
