The Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) expresses its deepest sorrow on the passing of YBhg. Datuk Seri G. Palanivel, former President of MIC, former Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department and a long-serving Member of Parliament.
Datuk Seri G. Palanivel dedicated much of his life to the service of the nation and the upliftment of the Malaysian Indian community. His leadership within the party and in government was marked by integrity, humility and an unwavering commitment to the people.
Under his leadership, MIC experienced significant growth, and his contributions to national unity, education and community development will always be remembered with gratitude and respect.
On behalf of the entire MIC family, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

இன்று இயற்கை எய்திய முன்னாள் 8-வது ம.இ.கா தேசியத் தலைவர், முன்னாள் அமைச்சர் டத்தோ ஸ்ரீ கோ. பழனிவேல் அவர்களின் மறைவு, மலேசிய இந்திய காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியையும், இந்திய சமூகத்தையே ஆழமாக வருத்தத்தில் ஆழ்த்தியுள்ளது.
டத்தோ ஸ்ரீ கோ.பழனிவேல் அவர்கள் கட்சி, சமூகம் மற்றும் நாட்டிற்கு அளித்துள்ள சேவைகள் அளவிட முடியாதவை. அவரது இழப்பு ஒரு கட்சிக்கு மட்டுமல்ல, முழு இந்திய சமுதாயத்திற்கும் ஈடுசெய்ய முடியாத பேரிழப்பாகும்.
பத்திரிக்கையாளராக வாழ்க்கைத் தொடங்கி துன் சாமிவேலு அவர்களின் பத்திரிக்கைச் செயலாளராகவும் நம்பிக்கைக்கு பாத்திரமானவராக திகழ்ந்தார். அவரது வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் கட்சி வளர்ச்சிக்காகவும், இந்திய சமூகத்தின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்காகவே அர்ப்பணித்து வாழ்ந்த ஒரு மாமனிதர்.
உலுசிலாங்கூர், கேமரன் மலை நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினராகவும், குடும்ப மேம்பாட்டுத் துறை துணையமைச்சராகவும் முன்னாள் பிரதமர் துறை அமைச்சராகவும், இயற்கை வளங்கள் மற்றும் சுற்றுச்சூழல் அமைச்சராகவும் தன்னலமின்றி பணியாற்றியவர்.
அவரது தொண்டுகள் என்றும் நினைவுகூரப்படும். இத்தகைய ஒரு பெரும் மனிதரை இழந்து வாடும் அவரது குடும்பத்தினருக்கும், உற்றார் உறவினர்களுக்கும், நண்பர்களுக்கும் மலேசிய இந்திய காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் சார்பாக நாங்கள் ஆழ்ந்த இரங்கல்களைத் தெரிவித்துக்கொள்கிறோம்.
அவரது ஆன்மா சாந்தியடைய அனைவரும் ஒன்றுபட்டு பிரார்த்திப்போம்.
